During my visit to Porto, one of the most striking landmarks that left a lasting impression was the iconic Ponte de Dom Luis I. This remarkable double-deck metal arch bridge, spanning the Douro River, offers not only a practical crossing but also stunning panoramic views of the city’s picturesque skyline. Walking along the upper deck allowed me to soak in the vibrant colors of the buildings lining the riverbanks, and the gentle sway of the bridge while I stood high above was exhilarating. The combination of historical significance and stunning architecture made it a memory I will cherish, as I captured the sunset illuminating the vibrant colors of Porto.

Not far from the bridge, the famous Livraria Lello was another highlight of my trip. This beautifully ornate bookstore is often hailed as one of the most beautiful in the world, and stepping inside felt like entering a Harry Potter-esque realm. The intricate wooden staircase, stained glass windows, and detailed ceiling made the ambiance magical. I lost track of time browsing through shelves filled with books in multiple languages, but the real joy was simply taking in the atmosphere. The blend of literature and art made my visit incredibly enriching and solidified my love for bookshops.

During my explorations, I also found great joy in visiting the F.C. Porto Museum, which celebrates the city’s rich football heritage. The displays were insightful and interactive, providing a deep dive into the history and triumphs of one of Portugal's most celebrated clubs. I was captivated by the stories of legendary players and unforgettable matches, and it sparked a newfound appreciation for the sport. Additionally, wandering through the historic streets near the Fernandine Wall and the Episcopal Palace of Oporto was a beautiful way to reflect on the city’s rich past. Each landmark tied together, creating a tapestry of culture, history, and vibrant life that made my time in Porto unforgettable.
