During my visit to Porto, I was particularly captivated by the Bolsa Palace, just 3 kilometers away from the city center. Its stunning neoclassical architecture and intricate interiors are a testament to the rich history and wealth of Porto's merchant class. The grand Salão Árabe within the palace, adorned with beautiful decor, felt like a journey back in time to the city’s golden age. After exploring the palace, I took a leisurely stroll through the nearby Jardins do Palácio de Cristal. These gardens not only provided a serene escape from the bustling city but also offered breathtaking views of the Douro River and the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for reflection.
Equally impressive was the vibrant Mercado do Bolhão, which is only 1 kilometer from the palace.
