One of the highlights was the Monument Church of St. Francis, renowned for its stunning Baroque interior that left a lasting impression on me. Just a short walk away, the vibrant atmosphere of Ribeira Square welcomed me with its picturesque streets and lively restaurants, where I enjoyed some delightful local delicacies. The surreal views of the Ponte de Dom Luis I, with its iconic steel arches spanning the Douro River, captivated my senses. Each stroll along the Cais da Ribeira allowed me to soak in the scenic beauty of the riverbanks while the majestic Porto Cathedral, standing proudly nearby, provided a touch of historic charm that resonated deeply with me.
Exploring the Avenida dos Aliados and Jardins do Palácio de Cristal filled me with a sense of tranquility as I took in the stunning architecture and serene landscapes. The wide promenades of Avenida dos Aliados were perfect for leisurely walks, surrounded by beautiful buildings that epitomize Porto's rich cultural heritage. Meanwhile, the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal offered me a peaceful retreat amid lush greenery and stunning views over the city. I also appreciated the historic significance of the Fernandine Wall, which adds a rich layer of history to my explorations.
