I absolutely loved staying at Istay Hotel Porto Centro due to its proximity to some of Porto's most iconic landmarks. Firstly, Ribeira Square, located just 0.77 km away, impressed me with its charming and vibrant atmosphere. The square is surrounded by colorful buildings and offers stunning views of the Douro River. I enjoyed exploring the narrow streets filled with cafes, restaurants, and local shops, immersing myself in the authentic Portuguese culture.
Another highlight was the Episcopal Palace of Oporto, only 0.59 km from the hotel. This historical building amazed me with its beautiful architecture and intricate details. It was fascinating to learn about the palace's history and its significance in Porto's cultural heritage. Additionally, the Portuguese Centre of Photography, just 0.90 km away, caught my attention. The building itself is a former prison, adding an intriguing aspect to its artistic exhibitions. I was captivated by the diverse range of photography exhibitions and the unique atmosphere created within the old prison walls.
Furthermore, Bolsa Palace, located 0.94 km from the hotel, left a lasting impression. This opulent neoclassical building showcases incredible architectural features and houses stunning rooms such as the Arabian Hall, adorned with exquisite Moorish influences. Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, situated 1.79 km away, was another gem I enjoyed while staying at Istay Hotel Porto Centro. The beautiful gardens surrounding the Crystal Palace offer breathtaking views of the city and the river, making it the perfect spot for a peaceful stroll or a picnic.
Lastly, the close proximity to Porto Cathedral, just 0.53 km away, and Clerigos Tower, only 0.80 km away, made my stay at Istay Hotel Porto Centro even more enjoyable. Being able to easily explore these landmarks allowed me to delve deep into the architectural and historical wonders of Porto. The cathedral's imposing presence and the tower's panoramic views added a sense of grandeur to my visit. my stay at Istay Hotel Porto Centro was enhanced by its convenient location near these remarkable landmarks.
