Exploring Porto’s narrow streets led me to the iconic Clerigos Tower, a mere 1 km from my starting point. Climbing to the top rewards visitors with breathtaking views of the city, while nearby Livraria Lello, renowned as one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, captivated me with its ornate staircase and stunning stained glass. A short walk brought me to Ribeira Square, where the lively ambiance and views of the Ponte de Dom Luis I create an unforgettable setting, especially as the sun sets over the river. I also took a moment to appreciate the impressive Fernandine Wall, which guards the historic memory of Porto. Each of these landmarks not only added to my experience but also invited reflection on the city’s rich heritage and vibrant present.
