Additionally, I was captivated by the lively atmosphere of Avenida dos Aliados, only half a kilometer from the cathedral. Spanning a majestic avenue lined with remarkable buildings, it felt like the heart of Porto, where locals and tourists alike gather. The Portuguese Centre of Photography, set within a former prison, offered an intriguing insight into the world of visual storytelling, only a kilometer away. I also made sure to visit the renowned Livraria Lello, a masterpiece of neo-Gothic architecture that showcases the city's literary culture. Each of these landmarks, rich in history and beauty, contributed to an unforgettable experience in Porto, leaving me eager to return to discover even more of what this vibrant city has to offer.
