Foz Velha House Villa Porto

During my visit to Porto, one of the highlights was undoubtedly the stunning Livraria Lello, located just 4 km from my accommodations. This enchanting bookstore is often regarded as one of the most beautiful in the world, with its intricate neo-Gothic architecture, stunning stained glass ceiling, and a magnificent wooden staircase that seems to invite you to explore the literary treasures within. The air is filled with the scent of old books, and as I wandered through the aisles, I appreciated the blend of historical charm and modern literary culture. Being in close proximity to other cultural landmarks like Casa da Musica and the Museu de Arte Contemporanea, I found myself immersed in a rich tapestry of art and creativity that defines Porto.

Another highlight of my trip was the serene beauty found along the Douro River, just a short walk of 1 km away from where I was staying. This picturesque river offers breathtaking views and is lined with exquisite gardens, such as the Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, where I enjoyed leisurely strolls surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. The nearby Passeio Alegre garden provided a tranquil escape, with its manicured paths and stunning river vistas. In this harmonious setting, I was able to relax and soak in the ambiance of Porto's natural beauty. Additionally, the proximity to landmarks like the Church of São Martinho de Lordelo added a touch of historical significance to my journey, as I explored the charming fusion of culture, nature, and art that Porto has to offer.
