Just a short stroll away, I found myself enchanted by the Jardins do Palácio de Cristal. This lush garden, filled with vibrant flowers and winding paths, provided a peaceful oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. The panoramic views of the Douro River and the iconic Ribeira district further enhanced my experience, making it a perfect spot for quiet reflection and leisurely walks.

In addition to the natural beauty, the cultural richness of Porto truly impressed me, especially within the 2-kilometer radius that included the Cais da Ribeira and Soares dos Reis National Museum. The bustling waterfront at Cais da Ribeira is a delightful blend of colorful buildings, lively cafés, and beautiful river views, perfect for sampling local cuisine and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. The nearby Soares dos Reis National Museum offered a deep dive into Portuguese art and culture, showcasing impressive collections that ranged from fine paintings to decorative arts. A visit to the renowned Livraria Lello, just 1 kilometer away, was like stepping into a fairytale with its ornate staircase and stunning interior, solidifying my love for Porto as a treasure trove of history, art, and scenic beauty.
